We bought a Roku 3 box and got dishworld by Dish Network for my in laws.
Currently there is a promo of $15 for 3 months for about 30 channels
in one language and after that it is $15 per month with no contract.
It has wifi to connect to your wireless router but my house is wired with
ethernet for all video streaming and my in laws actually said tht the quality was better than what they saw on Dish Sat TV.
Good move by dish network. I guess they were not able to negotiate with
their content providers to allow US channels too. Then we could cut cable TV or Sat TV for good.
May be Google or Apple will prevail one day but that is wishful thinking..
